There is no need to have a formal ICT in Education Policy since ICTs are just resources, like a book or similar and digital educational resources should be included in the regular provision of materials. Also, the provision of hardware and connectivity should be part of the regular school infrastructure policies. So, there are no reasons to consider that ICTs need a special policy that could conflict with other policies. More so, if they have no impact in students’ learning outcome!!

This may be the case in the near future when various agencies/institutions/departments/private enterprises are set up with specific roles and respo... Morensibilities for the provision of hardware and connectivity as part of the regular infrastructure. But currently many of these basic infrastructure policies are still not in place in many countries, thus the need for some master plans on ICT in Education to facilitate such essential provisions.
